DoorBomb1 - This bomb will be set off as soon as your opponent opens the door. With this particular trap, the doors must open in the direction of the trap.

STEP1: Place a tripbomb on the door frame so the laser hits the other side of the frame.
STEP2: Place many pipebombs away from the path of the door, if they are in the path of the opening door they will not go off.

DoorBomb2 - Set off when your opponent opens the door. In this trap, the doors must open toward the opponent.

STEP1: Open the door and place the bomb right where the door will "pinch" it to the frame, then close the door quickly. The laser should be invisible.
STEP2: Place many pipebombs close and away from the door.

DoorBomb3 - Set off when your opponent opens the door. In this trap, there must be a wall straight across from the door. Door can open vertically or horizontally.

STEP1: Place a tripbomb or two so the laser hits the "crack" of the door.
STEP2: Place a few pipebombs a little ways from the door.

DoorBomb4 - Set off when your opponent opens the door. The door must swing toward the trap.

STEP1: Place some pipebombs around the door.
STEP2: Open the door and place a tripbomb near the end of the door, do not let the tripbombs' edge be past the edge of the door.
STEP3: Close the door quickly after placing the tripbomb. There will now be a "floating" tripbomb.

DoorBomb5 - Set off when your opponent opens the door. Works on most doors that open vertically.

STEP1: Open the door, if it closes slowly then time how long it takes to automatically close. If it doesn't automatically close (and is slow), then it won't work.
STEP2: Open the door and place pipebombs if you would like to increase damage.
STEP3: Place a tripbomb on the lower part of the door frame. Close the door quickly (or have it timed to close as soon as you place it). On this particular door you can see the tripbomb look strange as the door closes when it works.

DoorBomb6 - Similar to doorbomb2, but is quicker to make and is more for one door. It's for doors that open toward the opponent.

STEP1: Open the door, place the tripbomb on the doorframe opposite to where the door hinges are.
STEP2: Close the door quickly. If you are standing at the side of the door that your opponent is not going to see when he sets off the trap, you should see the laser against the door.
STEP3: Place a tripbomb on the lower part of the door frame. Close the door quickly (or have it timed to close as soon as you place it).

DoorBomb7 - Similar to doorbomb3, but is faster to make, but will only work on vertical doors. Good if the wall across from the door is too far or there isn't one.

STEP1: If the door opens/closes slowly, open it halfway and place the tripbomb on the doorframe and close as quick as possible.
STEP2: Make sure that there is no laser or tripbomb showing. This trap generally does not go off on its own, but instead, it generally makes the tripbombs appear and block the path through the door, anyone who runs quickly through doors will be wasted.
STEP3: Place a tripbomb on the lower part of the door frame. Close the door quickly (or have it timed to close as soon as you place it).

DoorBomb8 - This is for doors that "spin" on a central point.

STEP1: Open the door and watch the sides of the door that move. If you wish to have the trap go off from the other side of the door choose the side that moves toward you, otherwise, choose the side that moves away.
STEP2: If the door moves away from you, you may want to open the door, place the bomb while it is opening then close it. If it moves away, just place the bomb against the frame of the door without opening it.
STEP3: Place a tripbomb on the lower part of the door frame. Close the door quickly (or have it timed to close as soon as you place it).

DoorBomb9 - This is for "dual" doors that do not automatically close. The doors must open away from the opponent.

STEP1: Open the door and place a tripbomb on the part of the door that "pinches" against the frame, the tripbomb should be facing in a diagonal direction. Make sure it is placed as close to the frame as possible without putting the tripbomb on the frame itself.
STEP2: Stay in front of the tripbomb for a half second, giving you enough time to close the door before it arms itself. Close the doors. The laser should be invisible and after a few feet should turn visible.
STEP3: Re-open the doors, the tripbomb shouldn't go off. Stand with your back to the door that doesn't have a tripbomb at the back of it. Hit space to close the doors, you should be holding one door open, for just long enough to hit space again and open the door across from the door you're blocking.
STEP4: Move away from the door, it should close. Now one door should be open and one should be closed. Place a pipebomb behind the door that is closed. Now your opponent will not be able to see the visible part of the laser and will walk through the one open door.

Elevator Bomb - Set off when your opponent comes up an elevator. Must be a wall across from the elevator.

STEP1: Ensure that the elevator is on the lower floor.
STEP2: Place a series of tripbombs all over the wall across from the elevator.

Slant Bomb - Set off when your opponent travels through an area with a slanted floor/ceiling.

STEP1: Find a spot somewhere that has a tilted floor/ceiling.
STEP2: Duck and place a few tripbombs against the wall. The laser should be invisible.

Compartment Bomb - Set off when your opponent opens a compartment.

STEP1: Make sure that the compartment closes quickly and is not too tall.
STEP2: If space allows, place a pipebomb on the floor of the compartment, then close and re-open the compartment door.
STEP3: Stay standing up - place the tripbomb at the back of the compartment, back out quickly and close the door before the bomb arms itself.

Water Bomb - Set off when your opponent surfaces from water.

STEP1: Throw some pipebombs on the surface of the water which will float if you're waist deep, hit the jump key while on the water if you're not (waist deep). Make sure the pipebombs don't sink.
STEP2: Place as many tripbombs as you can on the walls around the water, they must be fairly close to the water.

Teleport Bomb - Set off when your opponent teleports. You have probably already used this.

STEP1: Take the teleport and stay in the spot you are teleported to.
STEP2: Place many tripbombs on the walls around the teleport - then get out of it.

Window Bomb - Set off manually, by either you or your opponent.

STEP1: Place tripbombs on a wall across from a window.
STEP2: Either hide somewhere and shoot the glass, stand a ways away outside the glass (have to find a way around the glass) and shoot the glass when your opponent comes near or let him shoot at you.

Subway Bomb - Set off when your opponent rides the subway. Must know when your opponent jumps on the subway.

STEP1: Wait for the subway to stop once in the spot you want to trap. Find a post near the front of the subway at the subway train door where the opponent will get off.
STEP2: Place tripbombs on the posts. The subway will set the tripbombs off when it stops in the spot.

This file (pdtraps.zip) contains demos of most of the traps. You'll learn to place traps a lot faster and more reliably than reading the instructions. Set your resolution to 800x600 since that's what I recorded it in. You can use a tool like resolution raiser on the utils page to do so.
