Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: This is so awsome that I can view my old animation files again. How can I donate some money?
A: Well, you cannot. Just enjoy it and drop me an e-mail (see links) and tell me that you like it and what features you like to see in a future version.

Q: How often does the automatic check for updates run?
A: A check is perfomed every time an animation is loaded but only if a minimum 30 days has passed since the last check.
The actual number of days can be changed in the AnmDec.ini file situated in the folder where you installed MLC Deluxe Paint Animation Decoder. Change the "interval" value to the desired number of days or 0 (zero) to turn off the automatic check for updates.

Q: My Deluxe Paint animation files will not play. How can this be?
A: Electronics Arts' Deluxe Paint was made for both the Amiga and the MS-DOS systems. This codec is made for the MS-DOS animations that have the .anm file extention.

Q: My Deluxe Paint animation files does play but there are some glitches here and there?
A: I have experiensed this myself and cannot explain it. It could however be that there is a bug in the way Deluxe Paint II created the files or it might just be me that not fully understand the file format. Remember I have reverse engineered most of this on my own.

Q: How come I cannot use fast forward?
A: Ver 2.0 - This was a problem in version 1.0 of the software. It has been resolved and now it is even possible to use fast reverse. Please go to the download page to download the latest version.
A: Ver 1.0 - This feature has been attempted implemented but without success. Make sure you select "Automatic check for updates" when you install MLC Deluxe Paint animation Decoder because this might just be implemented in a future release.

Q: Where can I find the MLC Deluxe Paint Animation Decoder homepage?
A: You will find it at http://www.lobger.com/anm

Q: Can I have my own animations listed on this site?
