Alien has good level design and fair to good gameplay. There are new aliens that only bite and scratch but they are fast and tough. There are a couple of new weapons and lots of health and ammo around in stockpiles. You are going to need it too. The aliens can come at you in swarms and you need to keep your back to a wall or even better in a corner. Forget the pistol for the most part, the machine gun is your best friend. Before entering a new room pop in then back out quick. There are quite a few traps but most have been set up with a way out if you look hard enough. The alien blood burns so try to avoid it if possible. There are also some stationary guns on level 2 you need to watch out for. Level 1 starts off in an armory where you will receive verbal mission instructions. Then it's off to clean out the aliens. I rate as good with 3 out of 5 stars.
